The new cage is designed with the unique needs of the Macaw bird in mind. It has rounded corners, which maximize the bird’s useable space. This design feature also improves the range of vision the bird has from the cage. The door is larger to accommodate the wingspan of this unique breed of bird. In addition, the wire is set horizontally and the dome offers three different levels to imitate the bird’s natural surroundings and allow the bird maximum mobility within the cage.

California Cage Company continues its tradition of using the highest quality materials throughout the manufacturing process. The new macaw cage is made from a thicker wire, which creates a solid structure and is more durable over time. It is finished with a non-toxic powder coating paint which utilizes the latest painting technology and is available in two colors never before available to the cage industry: Sedona White and California Green. As with all cages manufactured by California Cage Company, the steel is welded at very high temperatures to fuse the parts into one durable, seamless unit. Each seam and joint is ground by hand and double-checked for stability.

This cage is more functional than previous models. It is specially designed for easy, snap-on assembly and requires no tools or accessories. It can also be disassembled with ease. Cleaning is simple and convenient; there is no tubing on the corner to get in the way and two residue-collection trays make waste disposal more manageable than other models. Four heavy-duty wheels support up to 800 pounds, assuring ease of movement and durability. In addition the doors for the food tray can be secured with a lock.
